AWS Workspace

Overview

UK team members use AWS WorkSpaces (virtual desktops) to access HSCN-connected infrastructure. The Workspace sits inside the HSCN-connected VPC and provides a secure jump point.

Accessing the Workspace

1. Open the AWS WorkSpaces client (download from clients.amazonworkspaces.com)
2. Enter registration code provided by the platform team
3. Log in with your Rhapsody credentials

What It's Used For

• Accessing HSCN-connected EC2 instances via SSH (the Workspace has route to the HSCN VPC)
• Running AWS CLI commands against HSCN accounts where direct internet access to private resources is not possible
• Accessing internal tooling that requires being inside the network perimeter

Tip

If you don't yet have a Workspace provisioned, raise a request with the platform team. Your Workspace will be in the raas-customer-uk account (943397710386) in eu-west-2.
